2018 was a great year for LifeVac  – it saved 12 lives from choking to death! From the beginning LifeVac has now saved a total of 25 lives from choking to death when standard BLS has failed in the USA, UK, Canada, Spain, Greece and Albania.

Nuclear emergency and bunkers

In the late ’60, when the World was super scared of the possibility of a Russian Nuclear War, Switzerland’s politics was promoting the bunkers with the “neutrality does not protect us from radioactivity”. So much that there is no other country in the world with such a density of shelters.

Children between the ages of 1 and 4 are most at risk for drowning. Most young children who drowned in pools were last seen in the home, had been out of sight less than five minutes, and were in the care of one or both parents at home at the time

Statistics show that in children most drownings occur in home swimming pools, while in adults, most drownings occur in natural waters.

The summer stroller mistake

Everyone knows leaving children in hot cars is a big NO, even for a few minutes. But as temperatures continue to increase every summer, a common stroller mistake could also be putting babies at risk. Covering a stroller with a blanket to shield your baby from the sun can cause the temperature inside a stroller to expand to dangerous levels. There is also bad circulation of the air and it is hard to see the baby with a cover over the pram.

Fish Bone In Your Throat – what to do when choking?

It can became threatening for some people when they sit down to a delicious dinner and halfway through they have a fish bone stuck in their throat. It’s a really unpleasant situation, the bone causes pain and discomfort. Lots of fish are packed with very small bones that are hard to remove. Certain freshwater fish, like trout and salmon, are especially difficulty to bone completely.  And even some restaurants serve fish with the bones still in.

CONGRATULATIONS to Lifevac!  Another reported choking victim saved through the use of the LifeVac USA invented by Arthur Lih. This is the 3rd reported success story !! It’s nice to know that in the event the Heimlich maneuver fails, there is an alternative option that is proving to be successful.
